HALF-AND-HALF (50/50) LOTTERY FONDATION DES CAPITALES DE QUÉBEC

1. Preamble

1.1 The Fondation des Capitales de Québec (hereinafter referred to as the "Foundation") is an organization whose mission is to make sport accessible to all young players and to the baseball associations of the greater Quebec City region. Through monetary and material donations, it actively supports the practice of baseball while encouraging youth engagement in other sports disciplines.

1.2 In order to fund its activities and mission, the Foundation organizes a half-and-half (50/50) lottery (hereinafter referred to as the "50/50 Draw").

1.3 These rules are intended to govern the organization, administration, and conduct of the draws in accordance with:

  • • the Act respecting lotteries, publicity contests and amusement machines;
  • • the Regulation respecting lottery systems;
  • • the Rules respecting lottery systems;
  • • and any applicable directive from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec (the "RACJ").

1.4 The Foundation holds a Class B lottery systems licence number L-05075 issued by the RACJ, valid from May 8, 2026 to May 7, 2027.

2. Purpose

2.1 These rules establish the applicable rules for the 50/50 Draw held at events presented at Stade Canac, including in particular:

  • • Quebec Capitales games;
  • • Quebec Diamants games;
  • • minor baseball tournaments;
  • • and any other eligible event that may be presented there and authorized under the licence issued by the RACJ.

2.2 The 50/50 Draw is a lottery in which fifty percent (50%) of the gross revenues generated by ticket sales are awarded to the holder of the winning ticket and fifty percent (50%) are retained by the Foundation to support its mission.

3. Eligibility

3.1 Subject to the exclusions set out in these rules, any person aged eighteen (18) years or older may participate in the 50/50 Draw.

3.2 To be eligible, any person must be physically located in Quebec at the time of ticket purchase.

3.3 The following persons may not participate in the 50/50 Draw:

  • • persons under 18 years of age;
  • • persons located outside Quebec at the time of purchase;
  • • employees of the Quebec Capitales;
  • • employees and directors of the Foundation;
  • • players, coaches, and baseball staff members;
  • • any volunteer or employee assigned to the sale, administration, or management of the draw;
  • • any person handling tickets;
  • • technology provider BUMP and its employees, directors, and representatives;
  • • any other person whose participation is prohibited by applicable regulations.

4. Ticket Sales

4.1 Tickets may be sold: a) In person: at Stade Canac during events covered by these rules; b) Online: through the official electronic platform operated by BUMP.

4.2 Online sales are limited to persons physically present in Quebec at the time of purchase and may be subject to geolocation mechanisms.

4.3 Each participant will receive an electronic or printed ticket bearing a unique sequential number.

4.4 All sales are final and non-refundable.

5. Draw Procedure

5.1 The ticket sales period ends at the time determined by the Foundation for each event covered by these rules. Depending on the nature of the event, the close of sales may be set at:

  • • a specific inning;
  • • a specific period;
  • • an announced time;
  • • or any other time communicated to participants before the draw.

5.2 The draw is conducted electronically as soon as reasonably practicable following the official close of sales for the event concerned.

6. Prize Claim

6.1 The prize awarded to the holder of the winning ticket corresponds to fifty percent (50%) of the gross revenues generated by the relevant draw.

6.2 For tickets purchased in person at Stade Canac:

  • • the holder of the winning ticket must present themselves within a maximum of ten (10) minutes following the official announcement of the winning number;
  • • the original ticket must be presented;
  • • a valid government-issued photo identification must be provided.

6.3 If no claim is made within the time limit set out in section 6.2, a new draw may be conducted to determine a new winner.

6.4 For tickets purchased online: the Foundation or its representative will contact the holder of the winning ticket directly.

7. Use of Profits

7.1 The profits generated by the 50/50 Draw are paid to the Fondation des Capitales de Québec.

7.2 The profits are used in particular to support:

  • • the development of baseball;
  • • youth initiatives;
  • • community programs;
  • • sports activities;
  • • educational projects;
  • • and any other activity compatible with the Foundation's mission.

8. General Provisions

8.1 Any decision made by the Foundation regarding the 50/50 Draw is final and binding.

8.2 By participating in the 50/50 Draw, any person acknowledges having read and accepted these rules.
